When is the perfect time to go wedding dress shopping?

If you are unsure when to start shopping for your dream dress, read our helpful guide below to find out timescales! The journey to finding the perfect gown is as unique as each bride, we’ll explore the different timelines that cater to different preferences and circumstances.

1: 18 months before your wedding day

Some brides to-be will start looking for their dream dress 18 months before so they can get to grips with what style and what kind of detail suits them. This allows the bride to shop around when it comes down to all the different styles, designers and boutiques to ensure they find the dress of their dreams.

2: 12 months before your wedding day

This is when most brides to-be will start their dress journey. This is a great time for brides to-be to start seriously looking which dress is the perfect one for them. It allows enough time for your dress to be ordered and delivered in time for your big day.

3: 6-12 months before your wedding day

With 6-12 months still to go before your special day we are able to find you your dream gown. With an alteration service available on site this allows every dress to leave our store fitting the bride to-be perfectly.

4: 1-6 months before your wedding day

This is still time to find your dream dress! If your timings are limited we have different options still available to you. We work closely with our designers meaning we can get certain dresses quickly through a rush cut order. We also have dresses available which are ‘ready to wear’ meaning the order timeframe is non existent because the dress is immediately put into a CB wedding dress bag with your name on ready for fittings in the weeks leading up to your wedding day.
